the UConn Huskies are adding to their roster after their 2025 national championship win. Kayleigh Heckel, a guard formerly with USC, announced Tuesday she will transfer to UConn. The move helps solidify the Huskies’ backcourt following Paige Bueckers’ graduation.
Heckel,a 5-foot-9 native of Port Chester,N.Y., was a top recruit and has three years of eligibility remaining. During her freshman year with the Trojans, she averaged 6.1 points and nearly two assists per game.
