UEFA supports the development of women’s football in Vietnam and Thailand
VFF and four Asian federations, including Thailand, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, and Lebanon, are attracting attention in the UEFA/AFC women’s soccer development support project for women in developing countries.

This was a success as the Vietnamese women’s team qualified for the 2023 Women’s World Cup final in New Zealand, confirming the name of Vietnamese women’s football on the world football map for the first time.“.
According to VFF leaders, this success opens up many opportunities for the women’s team to receive more attention and stronger investment from national teams to youth teams. At the same time, long-term planning and precise direction combining domestic and international resources are needed to sustain and develop Vietnamese women’s football. VFF hopes that this conference will serve as a premise for meaningful programs and activities that will bring tangible benefits to the development of women’s football in Vietnam.
UEFA Representative Lowri Robert said:UEFA plans to support the development of women’s soccer in Vietnam for the next three years. I believe that Vietnamese women’s soccer has made great progress.
The Vietnamese women’s national team participated in the finals of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Ho Chi Minh Women’s Club advanced to the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League.
