UFC Fight Night: Burns vs. Malott has undergone changes to its fight card ahead of the scheduled event on April 18, 2026, at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
A flyweight bout between Choi Dong-hun and André Lima, originally planned for this event, was scrapped after Choi withdrew due to an injury. Lima has been rebooked for a future date.
A featherweight matchup between Choi Doo-ho and Gavin Tucker was briefly linked to the card but did not materialize, as Tucker had not signed a bout agreement and subsequently announced his retirement from mixed martial arts due to injuries.
a flyweight contest between Mitch Raposo and Allan Nascimento was canceled just two days before the event after Raposo was forced off due to illness. Both fighters are expected to reschedule their bout for June at UFC Fight Night 279.
The main event remains a welterweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Gilbert Burns and Mike Malott. The co-main event features a bantamweight fight between Charles Jourdain and Kyler Phillips.
Other confirmed fights on the main card include Jai Herbert versus Mandel Nallo in the lightweight division, Jasmine Jasudavicius versus Karine Silva in women’s flyweight, Thiago Moisés versus Gauge Young in lightweight, and Marcio Barbosa versus Dennis Buzukja in featherweight.
The preliminary card includes matchups such as Julien LeBlanc versus Robert Valentin in a welterweight-middleweight bout, Tanner Boser versus Gokhan Saricam in heavyweight, Melissa Croden versus Daria Zhelezniakova in women’s bantamweight, JJ Aldrich versus Jamey-Lyn Horth in women’s flyweight, Allan Nascimento versus Mitch Raposo in flyweight (pending rescheduling), John Castaneda versus Mark Vologdin in bantamweight, and Jamie Siraj versus John Yannis in featherweight.
This event marks the UFC’s third visit to Winnipeg and its first since UFC on Fox: Lawler vs. Dos Anjos in December 2017. Initial reports had suggested the event might take place in Ottawa, Ontario, but it was ultimately shifted to Winnipeg for undisclosed reasons.
The event is officially known as UFC Fight Night 273 and will be broadcast live on Paramount+, with the main card beginning at 8:00 PM ET and the prelims starting at 5:00 PM ET.
