Michael “Venom” Page has revealed that his new Misfits Boxing contract pays him significantly more than he earned during his tenure with the UFC. Following the expiration of his UFC contract in September and his subsequent departure from the mixed martial arts promotion, the 39-year-old fighter secured a multi-fight, multi-year agreement to join the influencer-backed combat sports roster.
Financial Details and Misfits Agreement
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Page discussed the lucrative terms of his new partnership. He stated that Misfits came forward with a “crazy deal” that allows him to make more money in a shorter period of time. According to Page, his three-fight deal with Misfits will pay him more than his entire previous UFC contract combined, noting that he is making over twice as much.
Page signed with Misfits after compiling a 5-1 record across two and a half years in the UFC, a run that included decision victories over Nursulton Ruziboev, Sam Patterson, Jared Cannonier, and Shara Magomedov. Despite his success inside the Octagon, Page was shockingly cut by the UFC earlier this year after failing to secure a new deal.

Criticism of UFC Pay Structure
Alongside revealing his contract specifics, Page criticized the UFC over ongoing fighter compensation concerns, connecting the situation to middleweight champion Sean Strickland’s public disputes with the promotion. Page stated that the recurring complaints about compensation are an “embarrassing” look for the organization.
“If I was the higher-ups in the UFC, I’d want to put that to bed… For me, it’d be embarrassing that my champions were complaining, I would personally want to rectify that,” Page said.
Next Steps in Combat Sports
As Page prepares for his upcoming boxing debut with Misfits in the coming months, potential opponents mentioned for the former Bellator standout include Darren Till and heavyweight boxer Tommy Fury. Meanwhile, Page exits the UFC following a stretch where he went 5-1 under the banner, with his lone loss coming against Ian Machado Garry.
