Massive Drone Attack Targets Key Fuel Facility, Officials Say
A Russian governor confirmed Saturday that a large oil depot in the region of oryol, approximately 100 miles inside Russian territory, is ablaze following what he described as a “massive drone attack.”
The facility, located in the town of Stalnoy Kon, is reportedly one of the largest fuel terminals in the outskirts of Oryol city. While no fatalities were reported, the governor stated that the fire, which began early Saturday morning, was brought partially under control but continued to burn.
This incident follows reports of escalating drone warfare between Russia and Ukraine. Earlier Saturday, Russian officials reported the death of a nine-year-old child in a Ukrainian drone strike on the Belgorod region. Two other individuals, including another child, were injured in the attack.
Simultaneously occurring,Ukrainian officials reported extensive Russian drone attacks across the country,with the southern city of Kherson bearing the brunt of the assault. Two civilians were killed and six others wounded in Russian shelling, according to local authorities.
