The Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting and destroying 251 Ukrainian drones overnight on May 12-13, 2024, marking one of the largest drone retaliation attacks against Russia as the invasion began over three years ago. According to a statement published on Telegram, 40 drones were reportedly downed over Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014, and 62 over the black Sea.
