Ukraine Media Receive Wartime Financial Support

Forty Ukrainian media outlets are getting a financial boost to navigate the challenges of wartime operations
and contribute to the country’s recovery.The initiative, led by WAN-IFR in collaboration with the
Association of Independent Regional Press Publishers of Ukraine (AIRPPU) and the Norwegian Media Association
(MBL), is backed by funding from Norway.
The grants aim to provide essential support to local and regional news organizations, enabling them to maintain
operations and foster a lasting and inclusive recovery. The initiative recognizes the critical role of
independent media in providing accurate information and holding power accountable during times of crisis.
Revenue Accelerator Stream
Twenty-two regional media outlets have received institutional grants through the Revenue Accelerator Stream.
These grants are designed to improve financial and operational sustainability through funding, mentorship,
training, and business model development. The goal is to enhance resilience, diversify revenue streams, and
boost audience engagement for these vital news sources.
