Ukraine Sounds Alarm: Iran’s Lethal Missile Deal with Russia Sparks Global Concern
Iran’s Alleged Support for Russia in Ukraine War Sparks Concerns
Ukraine has issued a stern warning to Iran, urging the country not to supply Russia with ballistic missiles for its ongoing war against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that if reports of Iran’s involvement in arming Russia are confirmed, it will have severe consequences for bilateral relations between Kiev and Tehran.
The Ukrainian government has expressed concerns that Tehran and Moscow are strengthening their military cooperation, posing a threat not only to Ukraine’s security but also to the entire European region and the world at large. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kiev emphasized that the Iranian leadership must demonstrate through actions that it does not support Russia’s war efforts.
Kiev has long accused Tehran of supporting Moscow’s war, initially by providing Iranian drones and plans for the construction of unmanned aerial objects. The international community must exert pressure on Tehran and Moscow to protect international peace and security, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated.
Iran has denied reports of supplying ballistic missiles to Russia, calling such actions “inhumane” and stating that it would not take any steps to aid warring parties. Tehran’s UN mission in New York emphasized that such cooperation would undermine the peace process and lead to further escalation of the conflict.
The Human Cost of the War
The Ukrainian population has been suffering for over two years due to daily Russian terrorist attacks using various types of weapons, including those made by Iran. The international community must take a firm stance against such actions and work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
