The targeted facilities were located in Tihoretsk, southern Russia, and Oktyabrsky, in the western region of Tver. The Tihoretsk depot is reportedly one of the three largest explosives depots in Russia and a key point in the country’s military logistics system.
Ukrainian officials revealed that a train carrying 2,000 tons of ammunition, including supplies from North Korea, was present at the Tihoretsk depot at the time of the attack. The use of drones in the strikes was confirmed by a Ukrainian security source.
