“A special operation was conducted this morning, during which members of the Russian FSB agent group put up resistance and they were eliminated,” the SBU stated in a press release. While the exact number of individuals killed was not specified, a video released by the SBU appeared to show two bodies. The SBU further detailed that the assassination team had meticulously studied Colonel Voronich’s daily schedule and routes prior to the attack.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported hearing hundreds of rounds of small arms fire late Saturday at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in ukraine. The UN nuclear watchdog described the sustained gunfire, which lasted for approximately an hour from 10 p.m.local time, as unusual and stated it is seeking further information on the incident.
Russian Foreign Minister Concludes Beijing Talks on ukraine and US Relations
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing on Sunday to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and broader relations with the United States. Lavrov’s visit to China followed a trip to North Korea, where he secured assurances of support for Moscow’s position in its conflict with Ukraine. the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that discussions between Lavrov and Chinese foreign Minister Wang Yi included “the outlook for settling the Ukrainian crisis.”
