Unbound Gravel 200 Winner: From Software Engineer to Off-Road Champion

Karolina Migoń, the two-time Traka 360 winner, is prioritizing the Life Time Grand Prix series after successfully defending her title at The Traka 360. Migoń, who temporarily stepped away from her career as a software engineer to focus on off-road racing, stated, “The only race I’m afraid of is Little Sugar.”

Migoń’s commitment to the Life Time Grand Prix was highlighted following her recent victory at The Traka 360. She secured her second win at the event, building on her success from the previous year. To fully dedicate herself to racing, Migoń took a five-month leave of absence from her job as a software engineer, a move made possible by the support of her employer.

“Thanks to my amazing employer, I’m taking 5 months off from my professional job to fully focus on riding my bike. Grateful, excited, and ready for the adventure,” Migoń shared on social media.

Last year, Migoń’s first trip to the United States included a ride at Unbound Gravel 200. Despite a strong start, remaining in the front group for approximately 40 miles, she faced challenges including two punctures and a mechanical issue that required a 78-mile time trial to finish 21st in the elite women’s race.
