Unbreakable Spirit: 8 Years of Honoring Women’s Unwavering Resilience
The spotlight of the African fighting woman is the priesthood of the “Africa Mousso” initiative. For the 8th time, women’s resilience was celebrated in a ceremony on Sunday October 20, 2024.
« African woman is an event that aims to promote the qualities of women in the informal sector, and give them visibility in their daily actions. This wonderful gala evening has the essential aim of discovering the fighting women whose example is worth following.
This is an opportunity to recognize their qualities and reward their efforts by awarding them trophies. », began Sandrine Folané Ouédraogo, Africa Mousso’s promoter.

So for the 8th time, the Africa Moussa organizing committee pulled out all the stops to celebrate the strength and resilience of the heroines on a daily basis. This act of resilience is greatly welcomed by the ministry responsible for humanitarian action, national reconciliation, gender and family.
« Africa Mousso had the idea of highlighting the incredible work of women. Africa Mousso comes to highlight their courage, and their experiences, in order to show this fighting spirit to all female generations », praised Marie Madeleine Ouédraogo, on behalf of the minister.
For this edition, the chosen theme is “Transforming local products and women’s economic resilience”. This theme is challenging, considering the situation that Burkina Faso is going through. ” It sets out how women contribute, and how they should contribute to the processing of our local produce, and to the economic resilience of our country. It is a theme that is very relevant to me, that deserves discussion around », pointed out Marie Madeleine Ouédraogo.

These women, true Amazons, were celebrated. They have been magnified by differences. And for this 8th edition, it is Denise Odette Zouré, who was crowned Sanem Poaka. She leaves with gadgets, the trophy and many other prizes.
