Huawei Mate XT: The First Triple-Fold Smartphone
Huawei has announced its first triple-fold smartphone, the Huawei Mate XT, at an event held in China. This innovative device features two hinges, allowing it to fold into a triple-foldable display.
Huawei Mate XT Phone Specifications
The Huawei Mate XT phone has a thickness of 12.8 mm when folded, which is not much different from modern foldable devices with two screens.
When unfolded, the Mate XT transforms into a massive 10.2-inch OLED display with 2232 x 3184 resolution, 16:11 aspect ratio, and LTPO feature.
With two hinges, users can shrink this gigantic phone down to 7.9 inches.
Although the processor is not revealed, it is expected to be at least a Kirin 9010 5G or higher chipset due to satellite connectivity.
Huawei Mate XT Features
The Huawei Mate XT phone features a 50-megapixel camera, paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel periscope zoom lens.
Despite its thinness, users will still enjoy a large 5,600 mAh battery, compatible with 66W fast charging.
Huawei Mate XT Phone Price
The Mate XT is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, with a starting price of CNY 19,999 (or about $2,809) for the 16GB/256GB version and going up to CNY 23,999 (or about $3,370) for the 16GB/1TB model.
