The UNI volleyball team extended its winning streak to five matches with a 3-0 sweep of the Bradley Braves at Renaissance Coliseum, according to unipanthers.com. UNI improved to 4-0 in Missouri Valley Conference play behind 45 team terminations and a .174 hitting percentage, while Bradley dropped a contest that saw the visitors control the opening two sets before holding off a late surge in the third frame.
Northern Iowa Dominates First Two Sets
Northern Iowa set an early tone in the opening frame by hitting .265 with 15 team terminations, holding Bradley to just four kills and a .000 hitting clip, unipanthers.com reported. Maryn Bixby and Cassidy Hartman each tallied four kills in the first set, alongside three from Calia Clubb, while Grace Hannam, Taryn Rice, Lily Dykstra, and Reese Booth each recorded a service ace in a 25-15 victory. UNI then jumped to an 8-0 lead in the second set, adding 16 kills on .156 hitting. Despite the Bradley defense stuffing four blocks, Clubb notched six terminations to help secure a 25-20 win and a two-sets-to-none advantage.

UNI Completes Sweep with Third Set Win
Bradley mounted its strongest challenge in the third set by grabbing an early 7-2 lead against the visiting defense, unipanthers.com noted. UNI chipped away to pull within 10-13, tied the score at 16-16, and eventually weathered another late push to claim a 25-22 set win and complete the sweep. Dykstra finished with a match-high 13 kills, marking her 13th match this season with double-digit figures, while Clubb posted a season-best 12 terminations. Booth contributed a 30-assist, 15-dig double-double, and Jadyn Petersen added 15 digs and six assists.
UNI Extends Winning Streaks Against Bradley and MVC
UNI improved its all-time record against Bradley to 76-12, securing its tenth consecutive victory in the series and its seventh straight three-set sweep against the Braves, unipanthers.com reported. The program has now won 56 consecutive MVC regular-season matches dating back to 2023—the second-longest active streak in Division I—and 64 straight contests against conference opponents across regular-season and postseason play, standing as the longest active streak in Division I volleyball. The Panthers have posted at least seven blocks in 14 of 15 matches this season.
Hosting Drake at McLeod Center
UNI returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 8, to host in-state rival Drake for its annual Purple Out Match inside the McLeod Center, unipanthers.com stated.
