Unifrutti Group Acquires Peruvian Table Grape Producer Safco
The Unifrutti group has acquired Safco, a Peruvian table grape producer, from Rio king and other minority shareholders. Unifrutti already maintains an extensive network across the American continent. The company further complements this network with fields in Italy and South Africa, strategically positioned to supply European markets. Unifrutti claims this constitutes one of the most extensive global platforms in the table grape category.

According to data from PROFLORA, Peru exported 747,718 metric tons of fresh grapes in 2023, generating US$3.64 billion in revenue. The United States was the primary destination, accounting for 43.4% of exports.
