Photo: Notice","wrapCaption":"6. u0996 u099f 9bf: 9acu09bfu099cu09cd u099eu09aau09cdu09a4u09bf“}”> In memory of all the martyrs, including Irfan Bhuiyan, a student of United International University (UIU), in the student anti-discrimination movement, a ‘Dua Mahfil’ was held at Masjid Al-Mustafa, Madani Avenue, United City, and a ‘Freedom Corner’ was inaugurated in the UIU library to draw the attention of the new generation to the student anti-discrimination movement.
UIU Board of Trustees Chairman Hasan Mahmud Raja, UIU Board of Trustees member KM Ahsan Shamim, UIU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Treasurer Abdul Mokaddem, Executive Director of IAR and Professor Emeritus Dr. M Rizwan Khan, and the Registrar Dr. Md. Zulfikar Rahman were present at the event.
The activities of the prayer meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. In the anti-discrimination student movement, prayers were prayed for the souls of all the martyrs, including Irfan Bhuiyan, a student of the UIU Computer Science Department, and for the speedy recovery of the injured.

On the occasion, the United International University and United Group presented a check of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Shahid Irfan Bhuiyan. The UIU Library and Maintenance Lab were named after Shahid Irfan Bhuiyan.
United International University (UIU) students played a leading role in building a non-discrimination Bangladesh through the anti-discrimination movement among students. UIU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia inaugurated the ‘Freedom Corner’ in the UIU Library to highlight this glorious movement. The history and data of the student anti-discrimination movement will be kept here.
University teachers, officers, students, parents, and distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
