The UM Health bus, emblazoned with cheerful characters and vibrant murals, has become a familiar sight near the hospital, offering a welcome distraction for children undergoing treatment.
“Seeing the bus pull up always brightens everyone’s day,” said Sarah Miller, a nurse at Mott. ”It’s a wonderful way to bring a little bit of fun and normalcy to the hospital habitat.”
The bus serves multiple purposes, transporting patients to appointments, providing transportation for families, and even hosting special events for children. Inside, the bus is equipped with agreeable seating, interactive games, and educational materials, creating a welcoming and engaging space.
