Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Fund Announces Full Program for 4th World Creative Economy Council
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, September 27, 2024 – The Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Fund (ACDF) has announced the full program for the 4th World Creative Economy Council (WCCE), which will take place in Tashkent from October 2 to 4, 2024. The program features prominent national and international speakers, including Gayane Umerova, Arizona Muse, Aaron Rasmussen, Francesca Amfiteatroff, Rebecca Grinspan, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Theo Yang, and Mariette Westerman.
The creative sector is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by digitization and emerging technologies. The cultural and creative industries are one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world, with annual revenues of approximately 2.3 trillion USD worldwide. By 2030, this revenue is expected to increase by 10%.
The WCCE will bring together over 2,000 leaders and creators from over 80 countries to discuss the future of the creative economy, emerging technologies, and the impact of AI on creative fields. The conference will be fully inclusive and accessible, offering an engaging and immersive program free of charge for everyone.
In addition to international speakers, many Uzbek leaders at the forefront of the creative industry will also participate in the program. This dynamic mix of local and international speakers and participants fosters creative exchange and provides an opportunity for international guests to experience the richness of diversity that makes up Uzbekistan’s creative economy.
The 2024 WCCE will be hosted by ACDF in collaboration with the Republic of Indonesia, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the World Intellectual Property Organization, with knowledge partners including the British Council, Asian Development Bank Institute, and Westminster International University in Tashkent.
