Korea Real Estate Board Hosts ‘Citizen Participation-Type Crime Prevention Program’ Performance Sharing Meeting
The Korea Real Estate Board announced that it held a ‘Citizen Participation-Type Crime Prevention Program’ performance sharing meeting at the Daegu Gambling Problem Prevention and Treatment Center.
This public-private-public collaborative project involves six organizations: the Korea Real Estate Board, DGB Social Contribution Foundation, Daegu Metropolitan City Autonomous Police Commission, Daegu-Gyeongbuk Branch of the Financial Supervisory Service, Daegu Gambling Problem Prevention and Treatment Center, and Daegu Citizen Foundation. The program aims to address social issues such as crimes that threaten citizens’ safety, including real estate fraud, electronic financial fraud, and gambling problems, as well as youth gambling addiction.
A total of 64 youth promotion group members participated in this program, completing specialized training in real estate fraud, electronic financial fraud, and gambling addiction. Since July, they have been conducting crime prevention education activities in each field, directly communicating with 1,400 vulnerable people and citizens and 20,000 people online using crime prevention promotional content they developed themselves.
The Real Estate Institute, a public institution specializing in real estate, provided 10 million won in sponsorship for professional education and program operation to prevent real estate fraud based on the institution’s expertise.
Eun-cheol Yoo, vice president of the real estate agency, stated, “We will continue to pay close attention to social issues and make efforts to resolve them.”
