The match took place at the Allianz Riviera Stadium, marking the opening of the fifth round of the French league.

Although Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim did not participate in the match against Saint-Etienne, he was present on the bench.

This impressive performance made Nice the first team in the 21st century to score at least 6 goals in the first half of a French league match.

Second Half and Final Score

In the second half, Sofiane Diop scored the seventh goal for Nice in the 75th minute, followed by Pablo Rosario’s eighth goal from a penalty kick in the 86th minute.

With this result (8-0), Nice increased its score to 7 points, securing fifth place in the French league table, while Saint-Etienne is in sixteenth place with 3 points.

Notably, French club Nice scored 8 goals in one match for the first time since 1957, marking a significant achievement in the team’s history.
