Thailand’s National ​Futsal Team Kicks Off Group B ⁤with a Win

On September 14, 2024, at 5:00 pm, the ⁣Bukhara Universal‍ Sports ‌Complex in Uzbekistan played ‍host ‍to the highly anticipated⁢ match between Thailand’s national futsal team and Croatia in the ​2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup Group B opener.

Ranked 9th in the world, Thailand’s national futsal team, led by head ⁢coach⁤ Miguel Rodrigo, took to the field‌ with a starting ⁢lineup consisting of ⁣Arus Senbaat⁤ (GK), Itthicha Prapaphan, Sarawut Phalapruek, Muhammad Usmanmusa,‌ and Ronachai Jungwong.

First-Half Highlights

The match got⁤ off to a flying ​start, with Thailand scoring in just the 3rd⁤ minute. Sarawut Phalaphruek’s pass found Muhammad Usman Musa,⁣ who slotted the ball home‍ with⁣ a precise ‍right-footed shot, giving Thailand a 1-0 lead.

Croatia, ranked ‍16th in the‍ world, pushed hard for ​an equalizer and came close in the 6th minute. ⁣A ⁢kick-in⁤ led to a scoring opportunity, but Arussencard’s clearance denied ‍the Croatians.

The remainder of the first half saw both teams⁢ create ⁢chances,‍ but⁣ neither could find the back of the net. Thailand took a⁣ 1-0 lead into ‍the ⁤break.

Second-Half Highlights

The second ​half saw Thailand continue to press for a second goal. In the 21st minute, Muhammad Usman Musa’s long-range effort sailed just wide of the post.

Thailand’s persistence ⁣paid ⁣off in the 30th minute, as Ronachai ⁢Jungwongsuk scored from close range, doubling Thailand’s ‌lead to 2-0.

Croatia⁢ responded quickly, with Sekulic Antonio scoring in the 31st minute to⁢ reduce the ⁣deficit ‍to​ 1-2.

The match ended ​with Thailand securing⁢ a hard-fought 2-1 victory, earning three crucial points‌ in their Group B opener.
