Unleashing the Full Force of Nature: Jingmai Mountain’s Breathtaking Scenery
Full Power Ensures a Good View of Jingmai Mountain
Walking on the trail of the ancient village of Jingmai Mountain, the well-arranged tea forest landscape, the quiet and mellow tea fragrance, and the undulating sea of clouds are like a paradise. It has been one year since the Pu’er Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forest Cultural Landscape was successfully included in the World Heritage List. With the halo of the world heritage, more eyes are focused on this land, driving the vigorous development of Jingmai Mountain’s tourism industry.
In the past year, Jingmai Mountain has received 402,000 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 33.52%, and realized tourism revenue of 338 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 184%. With the influx of tourists, the rise of supporting service industries such as homestays, catering, and tea-making experience has put forward higher requirements for the stability, reliability and security of the power grid.
How to build a power grid development framework to help ecological protection? How to ensure the power demand for tourism development and related supporting facilities? How to optimize the business environment and enhance the sense of gain from high-quality services? In this way, Jingmai Mountain can be accelerated to develop in a more diversified and intelligent direction. This is a question that Pu’er power workers have been thinking about.
The Yunnan Pu’er Lancang Power Supply Bureau of the State Grid Corporation of China has deeply integrated the concept of green development into the entire process of regional power grid construction and safe and stable operation. Through measures such as rebuilding underground cables, transforming substation landscapes, building charging piles, and promoting electric tea production, it has worked together with ethnic minority compatriots who have lived in Jingmai Mountain for generations to promote the harmonious development of regional power grid safety and ecological environment, and injected sufficient electrical energy into Jingmai Mountain to implement the “two mountains” concept and sustainable development.
In line with the strategic positioning of building a “world-class tourist resort town”, a strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed with the Lancang County Government. The government and enterprises worked together to plan ahead for the reliable power supply of Jingmai Mountain and inject full power. We sought 7.59 million yuan in funds from our superiors to be used for the renovation of old lines in Jingmai Mountain, the expansion of the 110 kV Huimin substation, and the construction of 3 new 1,000-volt lines to meet the subsequent development power needs of Jingmai Mountain.

We will continue to optimize the business environment, provide services in advance, open a “green channel” for the Jingmai Mountain project and tea farmers’ supporting service facilities to use electricity, simplify procedures, actively communicate with users through WeChat and telephone, and use online channels such as the “Southern Power Grid” APP and 95598 Online Business Hall to handle various electricity business, so as to achieve rapid response and meet the electricity needs of the project and tea farmers’ production and processing through multiple channels.

Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forest has a unique spatial structure of “forest-ancient tea forest-village”. The distinctive culture of the indigenous ethnic groups has created a livable mountain living environment. The ancient-style terraced wooden “villas” have a relatively low fire resistance rating, and safe use of electricity is particularly important. In order to fully ensure the safety of electricity use in traditional villages, Jingmai Power Supply Station regularly carries out publicity on safe electricity use, conducts electrical fire inspections in 18 traditional villages, reports 1,624 low-voltage hidden dangers to the government, and urges users to make rectifications to ensure the safety of electricity use and fire prevention in traditional villages.
