Notice on accepting applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year

From now on, the Chinese Embassy in Brazil will begin accepting applications for Chinese Government Scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Application qualifications

The Chinese Government Scholarship is open to non-Chinese citizens.

Applicants must meet the corresponding academic qualification requirements. Applicants for a bachelor’s degree should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with excellent academic performance, and be generally no more than 25 years old. Applicants for a master’s degree should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with excellent academic performance, and be generally no more than 35 years old. Those seeking a doctoral degree should have a master’s degree or equivalent academic qualifications, excellent academic performance, and be generally no more than 40 years old. General visiting students should have a high school diploma or above and be generally no more than 45 years old when enrolling. Senior visiting students should have a high school diploma or above when enrolling. Master’s degree or above or associate professor or above, the age is generally not more than 50 years old.

Applicants should also meet the admission requirements of the school they are applying for in terms of academic ability, language ability and other related aspects.

2. Application time and method

The application system is now open, and applicants must submit their applications online (website: www.campuschina.org) before February 20, 2025, without providing paper materials.

The Chinese Embassy in Brazil will accept and review the application materials, review the applicant’s qualifications, and submit them to the China Scholarship Council for approval. The results are expected to be announced at the end of June 2025.

3. Application Procedure

Please carefully read the “Operation Instructions for Applicants of the Chinese Government Scholarship Study Abroad in China Management Information System” (Appendix 1) and submit all materials in the system in accordance with the requirements of the “Chinese Government Scholarship Application Material List” (Appendix 2).

Applicants must contact the international student admissions department of the scholarship institution in advance to obtain a pre-admission notice or a tutor’s acceptance certificate.

Applicants who come to China to study for more than 6 months must submit the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (Attachment 3).
