Passport Department Updates: Fast Track and Emergency Passports Issued
The passport department continues to issue pending passports, with a significant reduction in the backlog of fast track category passports.
The passport department has announced a major update for citizens, stating that the backlog of passports applied in the fast track category has been reduced to zero. Additionally, upcoming passports are being provided to citizens quickly.
According to officials, over 30,000 fast track passports have been issued, and 70,000 passports applied under the emergency category have also been issued.
The backlog of passports applied under the emergency category is expected to be reduced to zero by tomorrow. Furthermore, 17,500 passports applied through foreign travel have been cleared, and 17,000 passports applied online have also been issued.
DG Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi stated that the process of issuing passports is ongoing at a rapid pace, with extra shifts being worked to ensure the convenience of citizens.
