Unlock Global Learning Without Leaving Home: How Vietnam Offers World-Class International Education
On 1/11 in Hanoi, Foreign Trade University held the 7th Higher Education Internationalization Forum with the theme of “International Branch: A New Approach to Multinational Higher Education Institutions in Developing Countries”.
According to Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President and Associate Professor of Foreign Trade University, the annual forum hosted by Foreign Trade University has become an important platform for educators, researchers and policy makers from around the world to gather. Exchange and discuss topics related to the internationalization of higher education.
Associate Professor Bui Anh Tuan, principal of the Foreign Trade University, spoke at the forum.
This year’s forum theme raises urgent and strategic questions. Amid global integration and ever-increasing competition, educational universities are undergoing major changes. As an emerging country, Vietnam is attracting attention as the number of international students increases year by year.
Therefore, the International Branch (IBC) plays an important role as a bridge and provides quality education. We support students in emerging countries in general, especially in Vietnam, to receive high-quality international education without having to study abroad.
However, the process of establishing and operating an international branch is a journey full of challenges, not limited to regulatory barriers and cultural differences.
The forum will focus on domestic and international experts and scientists to discuss issues of promoting international cooperation, seizing opportunities, solving challenges, and ensuring quality standards, and will focus on establishing international branches in emerging countries, especially Vietnam. This became an important element in the development.
From there, we reached agreement on principles, including the role of international chapters in expanding access to quality education. Solve problems. Quality and innovation in higher education. The importance of continuous collaboration. These principles reflect a common vision for the future of higher education in Vietnam and other countries around the world.
