GPO Ignite⁢ Year 3 Program: Empowering Medical Innovation ⁣in Thailand

Dr. Mingkwan Suphanpong, Director of the Government ⁤Pharmaceutical Organization, announced the⁢ launch of the GPO Ignite⁢ Year 3 program, aimed ‌at developing and creating stability in the country’s medical innovation⁤ and‍ sustainable health. The ​program ⁣seeks to⁣ obtain new ‌innovative works and enterprises that can effectively be launched‌ into ‍the ‌market.

The GPO⁣ Ignite program is a joint effort to support medical innovation developers in Thailand, providing financial ⁣support and knowledge to develop and expand medical innovations. The program also offers opportunities ‍for joint business‍ investment with the Government Pharmaceutical Organization ‌in the future.

Expanding‍ Opportunities for Medical Innovation Developers

The ‌GPO​ Ignite program is now in its third year, and its activity format has been expanded to include medical ​innovation ‍developers in⁢ the Ministry of Public Health. This expansion is part of the​ Medical Innovation Support Project‍ (Ignite MOPH), which aims to support innovative works that have the potential to be commercialized within the ‍Department of​ Public Health agencies across the country.

The program has an ⁢innovation‍ framework‍ to increase the potential of ⁤public health‌ services, develop products to ⁣prevent, alleviate or treat emerging diseases, and create herbal products, ‍food supplements, ‍and⁤ cosmetics for efficient patient access to‍ the treatment system.

Success Stories ⁢from Previous Years

The Director of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization highlighted the success⁣ of the⁢ past two ⁣years of the ‌GPO⁤ Ignite program, citing the development⁢ of​ food products, “Elderine,” which went commercial in the first year. He also mentioned the​ establishment of cooperation between ‌the⁢ Government Pharmaceutical ⁢Organization and Great ‍Tech and Innovation Company Limited through the project “Double-arm rehabilitation equipment simultaneously ⁤with a Catch the Activity detection mechanism.”

Call for Applications

The Government Pharmaceutical Organization invites medical innovation developers across the country to submit their innovation works under ⁣the project framework to compete​ in the New Innovative ⁣Business Incubation⁣ Project and the Medical Innovation Support Project (GPO ‍Ignite⁢ × MOPH Program). Applications are open until October 15, 2024.
