Empowering Rural Revitalization through Short Video Production
The Second Regiment of the First Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps recently organized a mobile short video skills training class, attracting over 110 short video enthusiasts from various units. This initiative aimed to equip participants with new skills, unlock new development opportunities for the regiment and town, and provide a platform for entrepreneurship and employment.
Comprehensive Training Program
The training class, led by instructors from the Alaer Xinkun Vocational Training School, adopted a hybrid approach, combining offline centralized training with online practical guidance. The comprehensive curriculum covered the entire short video production process, from conceptualization and scriptwriting to filming, editing, and publishing. Participants gained hands-on experience with video editing software and learned how to create engaging content, including adding photos, text, and background music.
Practical Learning Experience
The training program was well-received by participants, who appreciated the clear and concise instruction. Li Yongqi, a participant, shared, “I’ve always been interested in short video production, but I lacked the necessary skills. This training has given me a deeper understanding of the process, and I’m excited to apply my new skills to create more engaging content.”
Unlocking the Potential of the Second Regiment
The Second Regiment is strategically located near the Urumqi-Kashggar Expressway, National Highway 314, and the Urumchi-Hetian Railway, making it an important node on the Silk Road. The region is rich in natural resources, cultural heritage, and scenic beauty, providing ample opportunities for short video production. The regiment has been actively promoting rural revitalization, improving the local infrastructure, and developing agricultural products.
Empowering the Community
The mobile short video skills training class has provided a platform for the community to showcase their talents and promote the Second Regiment. Xia Bin, a staff member of the Second Regiment Convenience Service Center, noted, “This training has significantly improved our understanding and skills in short video production. We will encourage our students to create content that showcases our daily life, agricultural products, and the charm of the regiment town, enhancing the image and popularity of the Second Regiment.”
Future Plans
The Second Regiment plans to intensify its new media training initiatives, focusing on practical applications and promoting the use of short video production skills in various aspects of work, including theoretical lectures and news propaganda. By leveraging the power of short video production, the regiment aims to expand its communication channels, innovate cultural exchange methods, and contribute to the region’s economic and social development.
