According to the biblical legend, despite constant torture, the brothers remained unharmed in water, fire, air and on crucifixion. They were executed by cutting off their heads with a sword.

After their death, he took a cure at their grave. A basilica was built over their tomb. Emperor Justinian I built a church in Constantinople to honor the holy martyrs, which became a popular place of pilgrimage for the sick.
