Unlock the Power of In-App Events: Do Featured Spots in the App Store Really Drive Success
How DayStamp Got Featured on the App Store
To promote the recently launched “Recent Checkin’s Widget” feature in DayStamp, we registered an in-app event. This event was featured on the main page of the App Store in about four different countries. In this post, we’ll share how it got featured and whether it had any significant impact.
Please note that the experiences shared here are highly specific to our situation, and the outcomes may differ greatly for other apps.
We didn’t receive any direct communication from Apple regarding the feature, and it’s unlikely that Apple will ever disclose specific criteria for how they select apps. However, based on our experience, here are some key factors that might have contributed.
Key Factors Contributing to the Feature
2.1. App Quality
DayStamp has been featured several times on the Korean App Store, either as a must-have Apple Watch app or as a popular app. It has received positive feedback from users, and we believe it was also well-regarded internally by the App Store team in Korea.
