Unlock the Power of PS5 Pro: Unraveling the Magic of PSSR Technology
PS5 Pro: Unlocking the Power of PSSR Technology
When Sony unveiled the PS5 Pro, the focus was on three basic components, including the new PSSR technology that will work on all games without the need for upgrades or updates from developers.
What is PSSR Technology in PS5 Pro?
PSSR (PlayStation Super Resolution) technology is the first artificial intelligence and learning feature used in home video game devices. It relies on artificial intelligence to process graphics and enhance their quality to reach 4K with smooth performance.
For example, if you use a game that displays 1080p resolution on regular PS5, when you play it on PS5 Pro, the system will upscale the image quality to 4K while maintaining consistent and stable performance.
PSSR technology is a response to Nvidia’s DLSS technology and AMD’s FSR technology, which enhances the quality of hundreds of games on PC. This technology works to increase graphics processing and their accuracy to the highest possible level without putting any additional load on the graphics card.
PSSR technology only works on the PS5 Pro device through machine learning, generating additional frames to improve game performance without affecting game quality or putting any extra load on its internal components.
This new technology is the future that developers are looking forward to, upgrading their games without any extra effort while giving them the quality and performance they aspire to.

During the PS5 Pro unveiling tech event, Sony showed us that the GT7 game running on the device with a resolution of up to 8K is unaffected while maintaining performance and graphics quality. Other games running in 4K quality with advanced ray tracing technology and full activation of HDR technology were also reviewed, thanks to the new PSSR technology.
Games are unlikely to reach this level of accuracy and performance without the use of new artificial intelligence technology, which is now the goal of giants such as Nvidia and AMD. PSSR technology, however, is the first entry for home gaming devices into this broader field with the PS5 Pro.
