Notification on the Review of the National Encouragement Scholarship for the Academic Year 2023-2024
Dear students,
In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold the school motto of “Striving for Perfection”, carry forward the school-running philosophy of “Being Famous in Science and Serving the Country with Talents”, build a good school spirit and style of study, set up advanced models, encourage undergraduate students to develop in an all-round way in terms of morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics, and labor, and strive to grow into leading talents with a sense of home and country and an international perspective, who are responsible for leading the future and benefiting mankind, in accordance with the “Regulations on Awards for Full-time Undergraduate Students of Southeast University” and the “Management Measures for the National Encouragement Scholarship for Full-time Undergraduate Students of Southeast University”, the relevant matters regarding the review of the National Encouragement Scholarship for the academic year 2023-2024 are hereby notified as follows:
Evaluation Principles
Each college strictly follows the requirements of the “National Encouragement Scholarship Management Measures for Full-time Undergraduate Students of Southeast University” and carries out the review of the National Encouragement Scholarship in accordance with the principles of “openness, fairness and justice”.
Selection Procedure
- Applicants: Full-time undergraduate students in their sophomore year or above (including sophomore year) of all colleges, and students with financial difficulties recognized by our school for the 2023-2024 academic year;
- Application conditions: See Appendix 2. Southeast University National Encouragement Scholarship Management Measures for Full-time Undergraduate Students. Special reminder of academic requirements: Ranked in the top 50% of the major in the previous academic year, and no failed courses;
- Allocation of quotas by college and major category: please refer to the “2023-2024 National Encouragement Scholarship Quota Allocation List” (Appendix 3);
- Applicants must apply through the “Online Service Hall – Scholarship - National Encouragement Scholarship”. The college will organize the review and publicize the review results for no less than 3 days. At the same time, they must be reviewed in the “Online Service Hall – Scholarship”;

Review and Announcement
Each college will report the list of winners without objection to the Student Financial Aid Management Center, which will compile and review it. After the review is passed, it will be announced to all teachers and students in the school for no less than 5 working days;
If the Ministry of Education issues the latest requirements for the selection of the National Encouragement Scholarship, the latest requirements will prevail.
