RSU Tutor Review: Written Exam for Rangsit University Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy

The written exam for admission to Rangsit University Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy consists of five subjects: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Most of the content is based on high school level, with some first-year college level material.

Mathematics

The mathematics section consists of 30 questions, with a time limit of 1.5 hours. The difficulty level is relatively low, and the content is mostly school-level material. Topics that are frequently encountered include STAT&PROP, CALCULUS, MATRIX FUNCTION, GEOMETRY, SET, EXPONENTIAL, TRIGONOMETRY, REAL NUMBER, and LOGIC.

English

The English section consists of 50 questions, with a time limit of 1 hour. Most of the questions are reading passages, which cover about 60% of the exam. The topics that are tested include science, medical, technology, history, and social sciences. In addition to having a good foundation in English, it is also important to be able to capture the meaning of what is read and to analyze the passages effectively.

Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

The afternoon session consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with a total of 100 questions and a time limit of 3 hours.

Chemistry

The chemistry section has a medium difficulty level, with 40 questions. The actual calculations are required, and topics that are frequently encountered include Stoichiometry, chemical equations, acids-bases, pH, titration values, gases, density values, diffusion, and chemical equilibrium.

Biology

The biology section consists of 40 questions. Although it is said that the biology subject at Rangsit University is very difficult, with proper preparation and focus, it is definitely achievable. Topics that are frequently encountered include cells and cell function, human body system, nervous system, eye function, brain and hormone function, muscular system, biodiversity, genetics, and DNA technology.
