University of Bucharest Announces Admission Places for Upcoming Academic Year
The University of Bucharest has announced the number of places available for the upcoming academic year, with a total of 1,731 places for undergraduate studies and 4,220 places for master’s studies.
According to the university’s press release, the number of places is still being updated and may change depending on the data reported by UB faculties. The university’s doctoral schools offer 440 places available, with the possibility of online registration for the admission competition.
Employment Outcomes and Reputation Among Employers
The University of Bucharest is the first university in Romania in terms of graduate employability results (Employment Outcomes) and reputation among employers (Employer Reputation), according to the latest edition of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2025.
The university ranks among the top 235 universities in the world for employability of graduates and 462 internationally for reputation among employers.
Academic Programs and Research Opportunities
The University of Bucharest has 19 faculties that offer 95 bachelor’s programs, 223 master’s programs, 23 doctoral schools in specific fields, and a school for interdisciplinary doctoral studies. The university also has over 50 centers and nine research stations.
International Partnerships
Since 2019, the University of Bucharest has been part of the European City University CIVIS, a network of prestigious European universities that includes the University of Aix-Marseille, the National and Capodistrian University of Athens, and the University of Glasgow, among others.
