Tokyo-London Green Finance Seminar 2024: Unlocking the Potential ‌of Global ⁢Green Finance

The Tokyo Metropolitan ‌Government is co-hosting the Tokyo-London⁤ Green Finance Seminar 2024 with ⁣the City of London and the‍ British Embassy in Japan, aiming to drive the growth of the global green finance market.

This seventh annual seminar will showcase ‍the latest trends and cutting-edge initiatives in green finance, including the rapidly ⁣evolving⁢ field of “nature finance,” which has ‌garnered ⁤significant global attention in​ recent years.

The ‌seminar is part of “Tokyo Sustainable Finance Week,”⁢ a⁢ series of events focused on​ sustainable⁢ finance. We invite participation from finance professionals, Tokyo residents, and students interested in investment⁤ and the environment.

Nature‌ finance refers ‍to financial initiatives that support a nature-positive⁣ economy, including⁤ information disclosure by companies, investment and lending by⁤ financial institutions,⁢ and investment in ‍technologies that ⁢contribute to biodiversity.

2. Target Audience

Anyone can participate, including finance professionals from Japan and abroad, government ministries and organizations, Tokyo⁤ residents, and students.

Choose ‌from two options: ① Attend the ⁢event (Urban Center Hotel, first come first served) ‌or ② Watch online. Advance registration is required, and participation is free. Please apply through the provided website.

Note: The entire program will ⁢be conducted in English, with simultaneous English-Japanese interpretation available. A⁢ networking⁢ session with the speakers will be held ​at the venue after the seminar.
