Busan City Receives Appreciation Plaque for Successfully Hosting 2024 World Geosciences Congress

(Busan = Yonhap News) Busan City received a plaque of appreciation in recognition of its contribution to successfully hosting the 2024 Busan International Geological Science Congress (IGC 2024) at the 79th Annual General Meeting of the Geological Society of Korea held at the Hwabaek Convention Center in Gyeongju on the 31st. revealed.

The 2024 World Geosciences Congress, held at BEXCO and Busan Cinema Center last August, attracted attention as it was the first event held in Korea in 136 years since the start of the conference.

During the event, over 6,000 people from the geological science community and related organizations from 99 countries visited Busan.
