Animal Protocol Template

For initial application, three-year review, and any modifications or adjustments, download the “Tsinghua University Laboratory Animal Research and Use Plan (201908 Edition)” template.

During the implementation of the approved Animal ⁤Protocol, if the following situations occur, you must fill in this template again and submit ​a new application:

• Change the ‍animal species
• Change the PI
• Add tests unrelated to the original protocol
• Change a non-survival surgery to a survival surgery, or add a survival surgery
• Change a single survival surgery to multiple survival surgeries

Subsequent Adjustments to the Animal Protocol

The following situations require submission of the “Application for Subsequent Adjustment of Tsinghua University’s ‍Experimental Animal Research and Use ⁢Plan”:

• Adding other strains of the same species
• Changing the sex of ⁢the ‍animal
• The number of animals does not change by more than 20%
• Changing or adding non-survival surgeries
• Increasing ⁤the ‍number of sample collections and tests related to this protocol, provided that the method is within the ⁤scope approved ⁤by the IACUC
• Changing‌ anesthetics and sedatives, provided that the reagent ⁤is within ⁢the scope⁢ approved by the IACUC
• Changing the method of euthanasia, provided that the method is within the ⁢scope ​approved by the IACUC
• Changing the title of the Animal Protocol
• Increasing or reducing the number of experimental ⁣personnel
