Benin Empowers Ministries with Equipment to Support Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment
Benin’s Minister of Social Affairs and Microfinance, Véronique Tognifodé, officially transferred equipment to three ministries on September 11, 2024.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Microfinance, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research received several pieces of equipment as part of the Gender Equality Support Program (PAEG) and the Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend Project in the Sahel (SWEDD-BENIN).
The SWEDD-BENIN project provided seven pickup vehicles, five Prado vehicles, 45 motorcycles, 324 laptops, 114 printers, 111 video projectors, and other accessories and consumables, totaling 656,310,992.5 FCFA.
The Gender Equality Support Project (SEP) provided two 4×4 vehicles, 82 motorbikes, and computer equipment, totaling 199,800,000 FCFA.
Minister Tognifodé emphasized the importance of implementing these projects and thanked the partners involved in their success.
