Special Academic Scholarships for Graduate⁢ Students

In⁤ order to encourage graduate students to study hard, actively conduct independent academic research, and actively ⁢participate​ in ⁣research and teaching assistant activities,⁢ the college has set up special academic ⁣scholarships. Under the principles of fairness, justice, openness, and merit, the evaluation of special academic scholarships‍ will be based on the graduate students’⁢ academic performance, scientific research status, and ⁣comprehensive performance in school, and applications are ⁤open to graduate ⁢students.

Eligibility

Full-time master’s students (except international students) who have transferred their personnel files to our school and are within the basic​ study period.

Application Requirements

The basic conditions for applying for a special​ academic scholarship are:

• Love the motherland, do not violate ⁢laws and disciplines, and do not do anything that damages the honor and interests​ of the school;
• Excellent academic performance;
• Be able to complete the study at​ the current stage according to⁤ the training plan,⁣ and actively participate⁣ in scientific research, college teaching management and service⁢ work, and⁢ other social practice and public welfare ⁤activities;
• Be honest and trustworthy, have good moral character and good overall performance.

Graduate ⁣students who‌ have any of the following circumstances in the previous academic year are, in principle, not eligible for ⁢the evaluation of special academic scholarships for this academic year:

• Those who have violated school rules and have been punished;
• Those who have engaged in fraud in academic research;
• Those who cause serious losses in scientific research;
• Others who do not meet the basic requirements for receiving special academic scholarships.

Scholarship Establishment ​and​ Awarding

The number of special⁤ academic scholarships for our college in the 2024-2025 ⁤academic year is as follows:

• Academic Masters: 18;
• Professional Masters: 65;
• Master’s degree coordinator: 1 person.

Special ‌academic⁣ scholarships are mainly used to​ reward second-year⁣ and above graduate students who meet the application qualifications and conditions. Freshmen are not‌ eligible to apply. The award amount is 8,000 yuan per person per year.

Application and Assessment Process

Students should follow the requirements‌ of this ⁢notice and submit application materials and fill in the questionnaire to complete ⁤online registration before September 23, 2024. The registration is considered successful only if both are submitted on ⁤time.

Please ⁤integrate the following application materials into one PDF file and send it to zhuanxiangjiang@163.com. Both the email​ name and file‌ name should be named “Student Number-Major-Name”.

• One copy of the Application Form for⁢ Peking University Law School Graduate ​Special Academic Scholarship;
• One official​ and⁣ complete transcript (apply for an electronic transcript through ‍the campus portal);
• One copy of the supporting documents of scientific research​ work ⁤and academic publications ⁢in the previous‌ academic year;
• Other supporting documents‌ of the student’s outstanding performance in ‌school during the previous academic year.

Objection

If a student has any objection to the results of ⁣the academic ​scholarship assessment, he/she ⁤may submit a written appeal to the Academic Affairs ‍Office during the school’s public announcement period.

Others

Graduate⁣ students who have received the Peking ‌University⁤ President Scholarship are not eligible​ to apply for special academic scholarships.

The Law School is responsible for interpreting this evaluation plan. Any matters not covered here will be determined by the Law School Scholarship ‍Evaluation Leadership Group.
