Burundi Strengthens National Defense Policy with Intensive Training Course
As part of Burundi’s national defense policy, 30 officers of the Burundi National Defense Force (FDNB) participated in a two-week intensive training course. The training, which focused on strategic planning, monitoring-evaluation, and results-based management, took place at the Training Center (CTS) in Muha. The aim was to establish a culture of thorough planning and accountability among FDNB members.
The training course is part of Burundi’s efforts to professionalize and modernize its armed forces. The country has made significant progress since emerging from a long period of military dictatorship in 2005. The training of these officers represents a crucial step towards strengthening the country’s national defense policy.
