Samsung Asset Management Introduces ‍’Samsung Global Chat AI’⁤ Fund

Samsung⁢ Asset⁣ Management‍ has reported ‌that the ‘Samsung Global Chat AI’ fund has achieved top rankings in one-year return rates among 811 overseas stock​ funds. According to financial information company FnGuide, the fund’s exchange ‌exposure‌ (UH) type and exchange rate hedging ‌(H) type ranked first and second, respectively.

The ‘Samsung‍ Global Chat AI’ fund, launched ⁤in⁤ May of last year, is the first in Korea to focus⁢ on investing in software companies and​ value chains⁤ that utilize generative artificial intelligence⁣ (Chat AI). This fund has ‌been evaluated as distinct from ‌existing AI ⁢funds‌ that invest heavily in hardware companies,​ as it invests primarily in software companies that utilize Chat AI.

The fund’s portfolio includes major next-generation AI companies such as⁤ Microsoft,⁣ the parent company of OpenAI, the developer of⁢ ‘ChatGPT’, Adobe,​ Salesforce, Palantir, and Applovin, which boast‌ high profitability and unrivaled technology. These companies showcase​ Chat AI technology and have been‍ selected for their potential to lead the next-generation AI market.

As a public offering fund, the‌ ‘Samsung Global Chat AI’⁤ fund provides both foreign exchange exposure and foreign exchange hedging types, allowing investors to select investments according to future exchange rate trends.

Hyunjun Jang, manager⁤ at Samsung Asset Management, stated, “We will continue to carefully select key beneficiary companies,⁢ focusing on software companies that will lead the next-generation ⁤AI market, to form ​a​ differentiated portfolio and strive to consistently record higher returns.”
