Unlocking Lucrative Returns: How Corporate Investment in Chat AI Services is Revolutionizing the Business Landscape
Samsung Asset Management Introduces ’Samsung Global Chat AI’ Fund
Samsung Asset Management has reported that the ‘Samsung Global Chat AI’ fund has achieved top rankings in one-year return rates among 811 overseas stock funds. According to financial information company FnGuide, the fund’s exchange exposure (UH) type and exchange rate hedging (H) type ranked first and second, respectively.
The ‘Samsung Global Chat AI’ fund, launched in May of last year, is the first in Korea to focus on investing in software companies and value chains that utilize generative artificial intelligence (Chat AI). This fund has been evaluated as distinct from existing AI funds that invest heavily in hardware companies, as it invests primarily in software companies that utilize Chat AI.
The fund’s portfolio includes major next-generation AI companies such as Microsoft, the parent company of OpenAI, the developer of ‘ChatGPT’, Adobe, Salesforce, Palantir, and Applovin, which boast high profitability and unrivaled technology. These companies showcase Chat AI technology and have been selected for their potential to lead the next-generation AI market.
As a public offering fund, the ‘Samsung Global Chat AI’ fund provides both foreign exchange exposure and foreign exchange hedging types, allowing investors to select investments according to future exchange rate trends.
Hyunjun Jang, manager at Samsung Asset Management, stated, “We will continue to carefully select key beneficiary companies, focusing on software companies that will lead the next-generation AI market, to form a differentiated portfolio and strive to consistently record higher returns.”
