President of Faso Meets with Burkinabè and Chinese Businessmen
The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received a delegation of Burkinabè and Chinese businessmen in an audience on Friday morning.
The delegation, led by the Special Adviser to the Head of State, LI YUBAO, was in the Burkinabe capital for the Sino-Burkinabe business meeting. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between Burkina Faso and the People’s Republic of China.
According to LI YUBAO, the Sino-Burkina Faso business forum was a success, as it sent a message to the world about Burkina Faso’s progress towards development. He noted that the meeting was an opportunity for Burkina Faso to reaffirm its desire to develop, citing the country’s abundant resources and ambitious entrepreneurs.
During the discussions, President Faso emphasized the need to move towards industrialization. He believes that a country’s development begins with strengthening its industrial fabric. To achieve this, the government has initiated several projects to enhance the production and processing capabilities of national companies.
The meeting between the President and the businessmen is expected to boost economic cooperation between Burkina Faso and China, paving the way for a brighter future for the country.
