Taiwanese Businessmen Explore Opportunities in Chengdu’s Chenghua District
More than 50 Taiwanese businessmen and representatives from the Chengdu Taiwan Association, Hong Kong and Taiwan enterprises in Chenghua District, and the New Taipei business district visited Chengdu’s Chenghua District to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
Lin Ziyou, Liao Jiaxing, Zhang Yijie, and many other Taiwanese compatriots in Sichuan told reporters that their goal was to visit Tianfu Animation City to see Cosplayers. The “Co-development and Co-future” 2024 Taiwanese Businessmen Entering Chenghua District event was held on September 3, aiming to promote the implementation of the “14th Five-Year Plan” and various measures to benefit Taiwan.
During the event, the Taiwanese compatriots and representatives of Taiwanese enterprises visited Fusenmei Home Furnishing, Xinbei Tiandi Business and Travel Center, and Tianfu International Animation City. Tianfu International Animation City, an emerging cultural landmark, attracted the unanimous interest of Taiwanese compatriots. The project is positioned as the country’s first animation-themed industry, commerce, travel, and education boundaryless integration center and is expected to be officially put into operation at the end of September 2024.
The Taiwanese asked the staff in detail about the rental fee for the venue and the surrounding supporting industries. Liao Jiaxing, a Taiwanese in Sichuan, said: “During the visit, I deeply felt the vitality of Chengdu in innovation and development. Many industrial projects are forward-looking and leading. At the same time, I also felt the good atmosphere here, especially in Chenghua District, which is friendly to business, safe for business, and prosperous for businessmen.”
Lin Ziyou, a Taiwanese living in Sichuan, has been engaged in education entrepreneurship in Chengdu for more than four years. She told reporters: “Chengdu is really a good place to pursue dreams! Our second Moral Education Camp education base is located on Jianshe Road. It is currently being renovated and will be put into operation soon. I hope to build a Sichuan-Taiwan education integration base, and based on this, make my own contribution to the development of cross-strait education.”
During the exchange session, Taiwanese compatriots participating in the event said that this event not only enhanced the mutual understanding and friendship between compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation and development. The relevant person in charge of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Chenghua District, Chengdu City also said that in the future, they will continue to uphold the concept of “One Family Across the Taiwan Strait”, serve Taiwanese enterprises and compatriots in Sichuan, implement various policies and measures that benefit Taiwan, and promote high-quality economic and social development.
