Sharia Studies and the Question of Development in Horizon of Achieving Vision 2030
King Khalid University, representing the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, recently organized a two-day conference titled “Sharia Studies and the Question of Development in Horizon of Achieving Vision 2030” at Al-Faray University City Exhibition and Convention Center.
Conference Objectives and Importance
According to University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Hamid bin Majdo’ Al-Qarni, the conference aimed to highlight the importance of Sharia studies in achieving social problems, explaining the role of Sharia studies in the development of the economy of the state, and anticipating the Kingdom’s future prospects in the post-2030 era.
Conference Topics and Sessions
The Dean of the College of Shariah and Fundamentals of Religion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Al-Qarni, stated that the conference discussed the role of Shariah colleges in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the importance of Shariah studies in achieving social problems, and the future prospects of the state. The conference featured 23 scientific papers presented in 6 sessions.
College of Shariah and Fundamentals of Religion
The conference coincided with the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the College of Shariah and Fundamentals of Religion, which has become a beacon of science and knowledge, attracting students from 40 countries around the world.
Appreciation and Acknowledgement
Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Al-Qarni appreciated the support and interest in the conference from the acting president of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dazam, and the university’s Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, chairman of the conference’s organizing committee.
