The Internet News Information Service Management Regulations (Order No. 1 of the Cyberspace Administration of China) came into effect on June 1, 2017. According to the Regulations, Internet news information service licenses must be obtained for those who provide Internet news information​ services to the public through websites, applications, ⁣forums, blogs, microblogs,‍ public accounts, instant messaging tools, live⁣ webcasts, etc.
