Chinese Investors Invited to Explore Business Opportunities in Burkina Faso
Ouagadougou, September 2, 2024 (AIB) - The Burkinabe Minister in charge of Cooperation, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, has invited Chinese businessmen to explore the economic potential of Burkina Faso.
Speaking at the China-Burkina Faso economic promotion conference in Beijing, China, Minister Traoré declared, “I invite Chinese investors to experience Burkina Faso and the great opportunities it offers.”
The conference, organized by the Burkina Embassy in China, aimed to attract Chinese investors to Burkina Faso, a country with vast investment opportunities in sectors such as:
- Agriculture
- Health
- Mines
- Energy
- Infrastructure
- Real estate development
- Transport
- Tourism
The embassy presented the regulatory framework on investment, highlighting the country’s commercial openness, availability of arable land, and favorable business environment.
According to Minister Traoré, this framework promises a bright future for economic and commercial relations between Burkina Faso and China.
Ambassador Daouda Bitie assured the Chinese side that Burkina Faso is a friendly and welcoming country, with a young population that is a strength for Chinese companies looking to set up in the country.
A delegation from Burkina Faso is currently in Beijing, attending the forum on Sino-African cooperation, which will take place from September 4 to 6, 2024.
