The launching ceremony of the 2024 National Cybersecurity Publicity Week Jiading District was held at the Juyuan New District Conference Center. The event featured a rap performance by the Jiading District Red Scarf Councillors, who called on the whole society to pay attention to cybersecurity.
The first deliberation activity of the Red Scarf Council Chamber of “Children’s Discussion on Cybersecurity” was held, where red scarf deliberators from the Shanghai Experimental School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences discussed protecting personal information. The deliberation activity attracted extensive discussions from many student representatives and community members.
During the deliberation process, the red scarf deliberators conducted heated discussions through group discussions and role-playing. They put forward many creative and practical suggestions and formed a small red scarf proposal on “Suggestions on the Establishment of Minors’ Network Security Officers”.
The Juyuan New District Network Security Propaganda Little Guard Awarding Ceremony was held, and representatives of the red scarf deliberators from 6 schools in the jurisdiction took the stage.
“The cases mentioned today are all real stories we have encountered in our lives. We hope to make the publicity of cybersecurity more popular through more vivid stories and more vivid methods,” said Wang Zhoutong, a member of the Red Scarf Council.
“Through such activities, I have a deeper understanding of cybersecurity. Later, I will share this knowledge of cybersecurity with more people,” said Xu Xiangyu, a member of the Red Scarf Council.
The launch of the first Red Scarf Deliberation Activity set an example for the Red Scarf Deliberation Hall in Jiading District. The Red Scarf Deliberation Hall was jointly built by schools and communities, and has covered 86 communities in 12 streets and towns in Jiading, with nearly 1,720 Red Scarf deliberators participating.
During the Cyber Security Week, the Red Scarf deliberators will carry out theme deliberation activities in 86 communities across the district around 12 cyber security-related topics, including “cyber security and literacy education”, “physical and mental health and big data applications“, and “game safety and behavior guidance”.
The successful holding of the “Children’s Discussion on Internet Security” Red Scarf Discussion Hall series of activities marks a solid step forward in the Internet security education of minors in Jiading District. In the future, Jiading District will continue to deepen the publicity and education of Internet security and promote the formation of a good atmosphere of common concern for Internet security in the whole society.
The first batch of cybersecurity City Walk destinations in Jiading District, Shanghai Cybersecurity Training Base (Jiading District), and Shanghai Metro Line 11 Cybersecurity Theme Train were also released. Jiading District focused on new strategies, policies, technologies, and applications for network and data security, and launched five series of warm-up activities, key activities, theme day activities, grassroots activities, and empowerment and improvement actions for the public and enterprises.
The event aims to enhance the cybersecurity awareness and protection skills of the whole society, and promote the integrated development of security education, technology, and industry.
