Taiwan’s Fancy Frontier 43: Exclusive⁣ Interview with Cosplayer Midori

Taiwan’s largest doujin‌ event, Fancy Frontier 43, was held at the Taipei Flower Expo’s⁣ Zhang Yan Pavilion from August​ 23rd to 25th. The event aimed to boost doujin events in Taiwan and is also ⁢known as the Taiwanese‍ version ⁢of “Comic Market.” Many companies and pop ‍culture ⁢enthusiasts participated every day, and in the cosplay⁢ area, many photographers were seen taking pictures of cosplayers.

Exclusive‍ Interview with Midori

ENTAME next caught up with Midori, a Taiwanese cosplayer who was cosplaying as Nana ​Osaki from the manga “NANA” by Ai Yazawa. She usually​ works as an ⁤actress, and this was her first time participating in Taiwan ⁢FF and cosplaying.

Midori’s Background and Experience

Midori is an actress and ​a streamer. She ​was ​surprised at how ‌enthusiastic the visitors were at Taiwan ⁢FF and had a lot of fun seeing the excitement ​everywhere.

Choosing Nana Osaki for Cosplay

Midori chose Nana Osaki for her first cosplay because it’s‍ one of her⁣ favorite Japanese manga. She always thought that if she was going to cosplay as the character, ⁢it would have to be cool, ‌and ⁤she’s having a lot​ of fun with it.

Future Cosplay Plans

Midori would like to try cosplaying as a gal or a cute girl, and she’d also like to try ‌cross-dressing. She’s open to trying new ⁢things⁣ and exploring different characters.

Language Skills and Experience in Japan

Midori studied Japanese at university and ‌spent about a year studying ⁤abroad in Japan. She can‍ speak Japanese fluently‌ and sometimes visits Japan.​ She finds the Japanese sense of distance from others to be impressive and something that Taiwanese people can learn from.

Future Goals and Aspirations

Midori would like to perform a song on a big stage in the future. She’s⁢ open to new experiences and opportunities, and her passion for cosplay and performing is evident in‌ her‍ enthusiasm.
