Unraveling the Drama: Norma Piña’s Explosive Plot Twist Revealed
Thursday Meetings: Uncovering the Elites’ Influence on Mexico’s Supreme Court
A recent revelation has shed light on the Thursday meetings, a gathering of Mexico’s elite leaders, including Minister Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, at the residence of Federico Jesús Reyes-Heroles González-Garza. These meetings, which began last year, aim to define the political operation of the Supreme Court against President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The host, Federico Jesús Reyes-Heroles González-Garza, is a member of a prominent family with ties to the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). His father, Jesús Reyes Heroles Sr., was a politician who served under several presidents, including Gustavo Díaz Ordaz, Luis Echeverría, José López Portillo, and Miguel de la Madrid.
Regular attendees of the Thursday meetings include Lorenzo Córdova, Héctor Aguilar Camín, and Reyes-Heroles González-Garza himself. The Minister, Norma Piña, and occasional guests also participate in these gatherings. One notable guest was Claudio X. González, head of the opposition in Mexico.
Natalia Reyes-Heroles Scharrer, the daughter of Federico Jesús, holds the position of secretary general of the Presidency of the Court. Her husband, Javier Orozco, works in the energy sector, specifically with Neo Mexicana de Gas. This connection raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest.
Federico Jesús has been involved with Transparencia Mexicana since 1999, an organization that aims to promote transparency in Mexico. However, his brother, Jesús Federico, was accused of opacity and was part of a list of individuals who perfected the art of the “revolving door,” profiting from government positions and then working for private companies.
Jesús Federico was also involved in the energy sector, serving as general director of Pemex and president of the boards of directors of Pemex and CFE. He was also a member of the board of directors of Wal-Mart México and Banamex Citigroup.
The Thursday meetings have raised concerns about the influence of the elites on the Supreme Court and the potential for conflicts of interest. The involvement of prominent figures like Claudio X. González and the connections between the energy sector and the Court’s leadership have sparked calls for transparency and investigation.
The Mexican people deserve to know the truth about these meetings and the relationships between the elites and the Supreme Court. It is time for an unprecedented investigation to uncover the whole truth and bring those responsible to justice.
