Unraveling the Mystery: The Shocking Murder of a Diplomat’s Son and the Secrets Left Behind
Investigation into the Murder of Former Egyptian Ambassador’s Son
On Sunday, the Public Prosecution launched an investigation into the murder of Amr Ali, the son of the former Egyptian ambassador to Serbia, who was found dead in his residence in a compound in Sheikh Zayed.
The investigation revealed that two students were accused of killing Amr Ali with the intention of stealing his mobile phone, money, and luxury car. The prosecution is also investigating who bought the victim’s phone from the accused.
Forensic Evidence Links Accused to the Crime Scene
Technical evidence, including fingerprints and DNA analysis, linked the accused to the crime scene. The prosecution found that the fingerprints of the accused matched the marks on the doorknob, two beer bottles, and the victim’s body.
Furthermore, human skin was found in the fingernails of the victim, indicating that he had resisted the attackers by stabbing them with a knife. The knife was found to be the property of the victim and was inside the apartment.
Confession of the Accused
The accused confessed to planning the crime and testified that they had been watching the victim, who lived alone in the apartment. They jumped on the wall of the residence and shocked the victim with an electric shock to paralyze his resistance, but he continued to resist until they stabbed him several times with a knife.
Circumstances Surrounding the Discovery of the Body
The victim’s father had been trying to contact him since last Wednesday but was unable to reach him. He became worried when he found his son’s phone switched off and hired a person to break into the residence, where the body was discovered wrapped in a plastic bag.
Investigation Reveals No Signs of Forced Entry
The prosecution’s investigation revealed that there was no broken port, and the victim’s belongings were missing. The Mercedes car was tracked through metal plates, leading to the location of the accused.
Victim’s Personal Life
The investigation found that the victim had a good relationship with his friends in Cairo and had no enmity with others. He had recently become involved in a love affair with a girl and had announced his intention to propose to her family.
Funeral Services
The prosecution’s examination of the body revealed that the victim had sustained two stab wounds, one on the chest and the other on the back, apart from the presence of scratches and bruises on his body. Funeral services were held for the deceased, and his body was buried amid the mourning of his family.
