China-Africa ‍Photo and Video Competition “My Chinese Story” Awards Ceremony Held in Beijing

The award ceremony of the China-Africa Photo and Video Competition “My Chinese Story” took place in ‌Beijing on ⁣November‍ 1, 2024, bringing together ⁣nearly 200 attendees, including⁣ diplomatic envoys ⁤from almost 30 countries to China, such as Egypt, the Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Chad, and the Central African Republic.

Award-winning creators and representatives‍ of winning enterprises, as well⁤ as ⁤Chinese and foreign‍ journalists, also attended‍ the ceremony. The competition, which launched in February this ‌year,‍ has attracted a diverse range ⁣of participants who have witnessed, joined, recorded, and promoted the comprehensive and high-quality ⁢development of China-Africa relations at various levels.

The ‍competition received over 2,600 entries from more than⁣ 800 video creators⁣ in 58 countries, with a ‌total of 100 videos being awarded at ⁣the ceremony. An exhibition was held ⁣on the sidelines of the awards ceremony to ​showcase the award-winning videos, providing a platform for attendees to experience the unique stories and perspectives of the ​creators.

A Chinese ‍culture ‍experience area was also ​established, where award winners from Africa had the opportunity to experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture through activities such as lacquer painting, tea art, and paper cutting.

The China-Africa Photo and Video Competition “My Chinese Story” was co-hosted by the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee ‌of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the ⁤China Public Diplomacy Association, and organized by Global⁣ Times Online.
